Otherwise it may be using the Intel GPU instead.
However Games would only run off of the one a Display is connected to, and if that happens to be the Intel GPU you are connected to, then Games would run poor.
Why did you even need to take the machine some place to do this?
Blow out the dust yourself, as part of regular maintenance.
but why do you think i have plugged my display in the wrong slot?? my windows clearly shows that my geforce is working properly
Stick to 368.81
Dont install Geforce Experience
I believe Bad-Motha suggested not to install Gforce Experience because it runs in the back ground and is some what of a resource Hog. Also it will Install new Drivers automatically which you DON'T want if nothing is wrong. When was the last driver update that you know of? If it was recent then that's your problem and maybe you might want to follow Bad-Motha's advice
I would suggest what bad-motha said then.
Some of us are Experienced gamers and PC builders, we aren't just throwing ideas in the air
and yes the problem occurs only during gaming. when i start playing high demanding games, the fps drops down to like 15 fps or even below.
i think i know what the problem is.have to explain something first.2 months back,my lcd monitor was broken and i had only black screen but everything else worked.so i had it repaired and the guy sayd he needed to replace some parts inside the monitor.i have a 17 inch monitor and i run it at 1280X1024 with 75 hz refresh rate. with that being sayd, some strange things happend with other games like, imput signal out of range problem on my monitor.this never happend before either.and when i check video resolution on windows, i can set the resolution even beyond 1280x1024 wich is imposible because my monitor only can handle 1280x1024 at its highest.i never had that before too.mybe thats why i experience lagging with games recently and thats why mybe my monitors signal goes out of range with some games. in geforce experience i can also see resolution options beyond 1280x1024 when optimising games. oh and i forgot to say, while my monitor was in repaire ,i used a bigger lcd monitor with a 21 inch with high resolution option, that didnt mix anyithing with my other monitor did it??
Sounds to me like either CPU or GPU is thermal throttling.
If everything is fine for a short time, then the FPS tanks and stays down low, hard now hard to control, etc.. Thermal Throttle due to high temps, that is the first thing to look at.
giive you some info on your system. Also remember we don't know your systems history.
Plus we can't look at it.So we have to ask questions.I sense an bit of attiude from you.
bad-motha think youre right about thermal throttling becasue i can even hear my pc throttling and it keeps making this strange sound constantly.it just doesnt settle down.something definitley has changed. at the time when my games ran fine, this constand sound wasnt there.thats one of the reasons why i took my pc to the computer store to let them clean the dust so that this throttling sound would disappear. its more quieter now but i can still hear that constand noise.
i dont have any knowledge about pc hardware but i can download a little software to check my cpu tempreture etc.i also have a feeling that mybe something in the windows task manager is using most of my cpu memory or something uneseccary is running in the background.
wich software you suggest to check my cpu and gpu temps??
