not enough memory to open prezi?
Hey guys, i've been having problems with my CPU and cpu cooler recently, gonna rma the cpu but that's not what this is about.

I've been doing homework, I have 16 tabs open in chrome (not many) and when I opened my 16th prezi gave me an error saying I don't have enough memory to load it

i'll have 20+ open on my old computer with 2 gigs of ddr2 ram and i have no "insufficient memory" problems
whereas this system has 16gb of ddr4 memory clocked at 3200mhz and it's struggling
wtf

♥♥♥ pls
idk what's wrong
Check your RAM usage with everything open, see how much you have free.
But yeah, try a different browser see if you encounter the same problem.

Chrome has always ALWAYS done a-o-k on much more demanding tasks with

-GT 240 Evga graphics card
-2gb Kingston ddr2 ram
-Intel celeron 2006 cpu
-Gigabyte mobo (not sure which model)
and all of the storage i have

this is an
-Intel i7 6700k skylake
-Gigabyte GTX 1070 g1 gaming
-Asus maximus v3 hero
-G skill ripjaws 16gb ddr4 ram
-WD Black 5tb (the faster one)
-Samsung 500gb ssd evo

build and it's struggling to do what my other one was, and at absurd temps at that.
I've already figured my CPU is ♥♥♥♥♥♥ and i'm going to RMA it either this week or during the weekend, and i'm going to sell my ♥♥♥♥♥♥ corsair cooler and buy something decent like a H220 from swiftek. I don't understand though why it killed prezi on me
Something is wrong if you are running low on RAM; I run 50+ Tabs in Chrome all day (16GB RAM) play my Steam games, etc. I'm lucky if I need to reboot the machine once per week.

i realize that. My CPU isn't working right, nor my CPU cooler, and now i'm wondering if my ram is too.
Can you check how much usable RAM you have? Maybe try re-inserting the RAM, or run memtest and see if there are any issues. That's about all I can think of recommending for this problem.

Reinstalling Chrome may be worth trying.

memtest costs money, stupid to shell out money on something i'd probably use once. I'll try re-inserting it, but it tells me 0gb are being used when i have like 9 tabs open, but if i have enough open ♥♥♥♥ starts crashing.

Already RMA'ing my cpu, should i do the same for my memory and just not waste any time ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ with it?
Memtest86 should still have a free edition, unless that has changed recently.

I don't know, it's unfortunate what you're experiencing with your build. I would try memtest first though.
umm.. memtest86 has a free version...
Windows has its own Memory Test

And we're saying for you to open the Task Manager and check your RAM usage

yes, very unfortunate. Wish this wasn't happening, but i'll get it sorted out in time.
