Right-click on your speaker tray icon, select playback devices. Then right-click on your headphones and set them to your default communication device.
Then go to the Windows Playback/Recording > right click the device you wish to use as default > Apply the two defaults to that device.
> Default Device
> Default Comms Device
Then go into the Recording tab and apply both of those defaults also to your Headset Mic.
Under the Communications tab at top; select "Do Nothing"
Click OK out of that screen.
Now launch your Apps, such as Skype, Steam, etc...
In apps such as Skype, TeamSpeak, Discord; these have their own Audio Config Settings area; so double check all of that. As those types of apps have their own settings that can be applied just for that app, independent of whatever you have already setup in Windows Playback/Recording. But Apps such as Steam Client, rely on using the Windows Playback/Recording settings.
Also under Playback/Recording, double check your Levels tab (Volumes) for the various devices. The Level tab under Recording > Mic would be the Recording Volume for that Mic Device.
If you are using Voice within a game, check the game settings > VoIP
Turtle Beach, Razer... avoid all those.
What is your budget for a Headset w/ Mic?
I know it's not the best headset, but I just feel it would be easier just to fix this problem than returning them and buying a new pair. I've had to do it 3 times before (as previously stated) and I really don't feel like doing that again.
Plus I'm too young to get a drivers license (Let alone buying a car) and the store is too far to get to by bike. I'd have to go by bus, which also costs money and I'm a jobless slob so.. yeah.
It's a Razer Kraken 2015 Pro
Since analog headsets/speakers would use that device.
What OS and Audio Device (Onboard Sound or Sound Card) are you using?
If do not know for sure, and you are using the Audio onboard the Motherboard, then what is the Motherboard brand + model# ? As the onboard devices can easily to identified from the motherboard model.
If using Case Front Audio I/O ports and the device is not showing up, try the ones in the Rear of the system
and they're already plugged into the back because the front ones don't work (cause I'm too lazy to wire them xD
