Whereas most of my cores are generally in the 30's 40's range, there is always 1 that's in the 50's, and it fluctuates between which core that is.
If not, then everything is doing its job.
Doesn't matter if its 1 browser tab or 1000; that is more of an impact on CPU + RAM; but more RAM. CPU loads with your browser won't really occur unless it's doing something active in a tab, like YouTube, Twitch... something that can use a good amount of CPU.
If temps rise cause of an open browser; go into the browser settings and disable hardware acceleration. If when this is disabled the browser chugs performance-wise, then re-enable it.
But it will impact GPU temps more, when hardware acceleration is enabled in a web browser.
adding more case fans will not be able to cool the cpu any better
if you want it cooler, get a better cpu cooler
but 50c is already a good temp
if its not breaking 80c dont worry about it
Those would generally run 24/7 at 70-80*C just fine.
Now if it was AMD Desktop CPU, that would be a different story.
idk what a better cpu cooler would be, using liquid cooling by the corsair h100i gtx, maybe an open loop but i ain't gonna try that lel. Long as it's okay then i'm fine. I hear skylake runs hot but i'm also reading about people who idle on 25c and it scares me that i'm in the 50's.
Also, when I play arma which is heavily CPU intensive, my temp stays in the mid/high 50's and low 60's, so it's not jumping into the 80c range like it was before
CPU temp sensors are notoriously poorly calibrated, since calibration costs money. They have four sensors that are under reporting, or are measuring in a cold room, or lying. You have at least one sensor that is (massively) overreporting, with 40°C idling in a room at normal temperature being normal. Stop worrying. Low 60's under load is perfectly fine and safe.
