GTX750Ti and GTX1060 In One Computer?
Is it possible to have two videocards at once in a conputer and if so, does it give any performance boosts or anything like that? I don't want to just chuck my 750Ti to waste once I get my 1060. I don't know a lot about computers.

Yes you can, but it will offer no performance boost unless you are SLI'ing 2 of the same card. You could use the 750 Ti as a dedicated physics card, but it's pretty unnecessary with a 1060.

DX12 does offer mixed multi-GPU, but how many developers will take advantage of that, we don't know.

Pointless to use anything else but GTX 1060, you need two same series cards for SLI and GTX 1060 is actually not SLI capable card anyway.
Using GTX 750 Ti as PhysX card is pointless too, GTX 1060 handles this fine on its own.
Just keep the GTX 750 Ti as backup if something would happen to your GTX 1060 or just sell it.

750Ti as a physics card? That would hold the 1060 back. Just keep it as a reserve card, something to pop in in case your 1060 dies.

keep the 750 as a spare, or put it in a htpc or other low power non gaming build
would be fine in a steam box for streaming from a gaming pc

Thanks guys, appreciate the responses! Looks like I'll just keep it spare :)

Curious. How about trying it as a dedicated physx/flex card and see if the performance improves. I am guessing it does.
Unless the physx calculations max out the gtx 750 ti, it will improve performance.

Old games using physx need little additional GPU power for it to run well. Now there is Flex, the successor to physx is much more demanding. It is in a few games already.
I have a gtx 970 for graphics and a gtx 670 for physx/flex. Sometimes the 670 is maxed out but mostly it is an improvement.

I am looking to upgrade to a gtx1070 when hopefully the prices come down and will use the gtx 970 as a dedicated physx/flex card.

Some flex for you

Thanks, will try it out. It'll be a while until I get the 1060 and I'm not even sure my case can fit two cards but I'll definitely keep that in mind!
