HyperX Cloud II splitter
I am thinking about getting the HyperX Cloud II's but with the design of my PC case the splitter it comes with may not be the correct size, is anyone able to get the distance between the jacks, or the dimensions of the splitter itself

You don't need any splitters, that is optional.

By default (if you want to use the dongle for Heaphone Amp Boost & Controls) uses USB.

Splitter would only be needed if you connect via analog (Line Out + Mic separately) but you do not want to do that unless your Onboard Audio or Sound Card has a Headphone Amp Boost.

They made it single jack by default (that plugs into the usb dongle) so that you could use them on Phones/Tablets; and also on XboxOne/PS4 controllers that have the Headset Jack.

Though when you use the direct line in for microphone and headphone seperately it has better audio quality then it would with the usb line in.

The quality wont differ... a crappy Mic is a crappy Mic. A dedicated sound card direct line wont change that.

If you want a better setup, buy a good headset, remove the Mic or swing that up/away and dont use it, and buy a separate quality Mic.

Here are adpaters for analog 3.5mm if needed:

2-Stereo Devices into 1-Line (3.5mm dual female to single male)
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0125XPJLE
This would allow basically 2 device to receive audio a the same time; Speakers + Headphones; 2 sets of Headphones, etc.

Stereo Headphones+Mic single jack (4-pin) into 2-3.5mm Speaker/Mic (3-pin) Jacks
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B011IKHHTW
Converts the 4pin 3.5mm (usually seen on headsets made for Consoles, and Mobile device) to separate headphone & mic 3.5mm 3-pin

Yes, it will change because the dongle usb from hyperx put a lot of filters on the mic sound. Analog audio from Cloud II mic is way better than USB.
