what's a good upgrade from this AMD A6-6400K with Radeon(TM) graphics?
looking for a new upgrade, I KNOW BUYING A WHOLE NEW COMPUTER IS A BETTER IDEA but I don't have that much money. I just want even the slightest more performance.

Depending on your socket, the best option may be the X4 760k (FM2), or the X4 880k (FM2+). Both will be faster than the A6 6400k.

If you are on integrated graphics, you'll need a dedicated GPU as the Athlon X4 does not have an onboard GPU.

Get the highest end cpu your mobo supports and the 750ti and maybe more ram

Just save up and perform a proper upgrade later. You'll end up wasting more cash with baby step upgrades.

save up for a complete build for gaming

apus are not worth upgrading
all offer similar core performance
and adding a dedicated gpu will show you how slow the cpu really is

and with teh sff or oem case its difficult to swap mobos
