Do I need a fan "splitter"?
Hey guys so I am recently building a new pc. Here are the parts: http://pcpartpicker.com/user/HotPocketChris/saved/F2PxrH

Since I have a total of 3 fans (one included with case), do I need a fan "splitter" to connect the other two fans that I bought? I am still pretty new to of building so forgive me. If so, can you link me a fan splitter that is compatible for this build? Also, I already started working on some of the parts and noticed it only came with one standoffs screw to mount the motherboard. Is this normal and able to properly attach the micro ATX motherboard or should I buy more standoff screws to properly attach the motherboard? If so, do you know which standoffs screw I need to get? Thank you!

pick a better mobo

one with 4 dimm slots, will be b150 or better

that board has 1 cpu fan header, and 1 cha(case) fan header
for the other 2 case fans you will need to run of the 12v power supply rail and have no speed control on them

and get a 2x4g ram kit so you can run it in dual ch mode

get a better ssd
240+g intel, samsung, crucial or mushkin

skip the cheapo wifi card, for the price of a good wifi card you can run a cable

but a $1000usd build should look alot better than that

Haha I already bought all those parts but just a question, where do I install the case fans? On the mobo? And if so, do I need a splitter for it?

if the case fan has a 3 or 4 pin header, plug it into the mobo cha_fan header, near the pci-e x16 slot

the cm fans include molex to 3pin fan adapters, use them to plug them into the power supply

so i just checked my fans i bought and they said the case fan was 3 to 4 pin adapter included... does this mean i basically dont need a fan splitter because i already have a "molex to 3 pin fan adapter", which includes enough room to attatch 3 case fans (with one already in the case)? sorry im a bit confused

each of the coolermaster fans will use its own molex to fan adapter
the fain included with the case can plug into the mobo cha_fan header

alright thank you so much. Will there be enough molex cables on the psu to attatch and have two case fans functioning properly in my build? Sorry, I'm extremely new to pc buiding and anything computer related

yes, the psu has atelast 2 molex connectors

I had the same problem on my MB - I have 3 fans but two connections. Check the guide that came with the MB and find the connections labelled SYSFAN. There should be atleast two of these and this is where you plug the fan connector in to. I tried to find your manual online but couldn't locate it. If you have two SYSFAN connections then you can use a splitter for the third fan - it will allow you to connect two fans into one connection. This one is similar to mine:

Go to NewEgg and search for 'fan splitter'.

Alright so since the case fans I got does not include molec to fan adapter, I am going to buy one later. Is this one fine?

CPU Fan > Upper right of CPU
System Fan #1 > Below the CPU
System Fan #2 > at the very bottom, below PCI slot
