My computer starts beeping while playing heavy games(or so)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cizMJOKPl1s
Its exactly like that. IDK what to do. Games that cause this : Dark souls 3, Black ops 3 , Overwatch, Witcher 3.
Specs: i5 3470 cpu@3.20GHz (4 cpus), 3.6 Ghz
RAM = 8 GB
GPU= GTX 960
PSU=RM 1000 x (1000 watts)
If i am missing something, please comment it. I dont know anything about computers, if u could tell me how to solve this, please take it easy on me . well, TY a lot in advance guys

Does the noise coincide with GPU fan activity, HHD use, or anything else? And the noise is coming from your PC tower and not the monitor/ speakers?

Sounds like could be bad MOSFETs in the PSU or video card.

Sorry, as i said i dont know about this stuff. But the noise is coming from the case(inside it)

My PSU and GPU are new. The sound has been happening before them. I thought it d solve by swapping the GPU and PSU for something newer. does that mean i need a new cooling system? (cuz i dont really have 1 )

I don't think heat is the issue, but if your worried download HWMonitor and run it. It will track your max temperatures.

It could possibly be something on the motherboard. A cardboard paper towel tube works well to isolate the noise.

And check for any wires in contact with fans. That's about all I can think of at the moment.

Maybe try your PC on a different electrical outlet, preferably on a different circuit.

i would try to find out where the noise is coming from it then check the model of said componet and check if its had these problems if its a clearance problem with something hitting a fan move the wire if its a componets electrical problem replace it instantly especially a power supply

If it's a custom build PC check your mobo manual for trouble shooting.

Start unplugging stuff. First, take off/unplug all fans except the cpu fan. Load up the game, if the sound comes back, unplug the audio cable and the monitor while the game is running. If it still happens, try to get a new drive. If the sound happened before the psu/gpu, then the only part left is the motherboard/cpu fan. Replace the cpu fan. Swapping with a case fan works the same, they're all fans. If it still happens, then it's your motherboard. It could be a small fan in your motherboard that's cooling your chipset that's making the sound. You can take it out, as long as you install a fan somewhere to cool it. Alternatively, unplug the motherboard speaker if it has one. You don't really need it. It would just make it difficult to diagnose boot problems, at which point you could just plug it back in later. If anything else was wrong with your motherboard, it wouldn't make that sound. It would more of a popping sound since the only thing that can fail are capacitors which are usually solid and can't make long sounds.

Thanks for the suggestion. I've been fighting with beeping for days now - every time I'd open even a basic game the beeps would start. I bought a new PSU, I tore my PC to bits and spray dusted every connector and fan. After using your cardboard paper towel tube trick I discovered the noise was the same throughout my computer and appeared to be coming from my router. Further isolation revealed it wasn't actually the router but my battery backup unit that was sitting in the cupboard below it.

Plugged a few things into a different outlet and problem is solved :)

Iseb you have saved me hahaha. I was going crazy yesterday thinking my gpu was overheating because I was having the same issue as everyone else, and nothing was making sense and my troubleshooting was going absolutely nowhere... Until I saw your comment. Ill be damned if it wasn't my muthafudgin battery backup, which sits directly below my tower. I thought it was the gpu because it only beeped when I was doing heavy gpu processing, which makes total sense since that draws more power from the psu. Thank you so much for this offhand comment, you have solved my problem and saved me a boatload of stress! My hero!!
