Is it ok to have PC standing on carpet?

Hi I was just wondering whether it was ok to have my PC standing on the carpet, it has these little pegs on the bottom of the case that lift it off the ground slightly so that makes it ok to have on the carpet, right?

Just want to make sure, only recently joined the master race and I don't wanna treat my PC badly

I've had my last 2 PC's sat on the carpet under my desk with no problems, my new PC doesn't even have feet.

Unless you have a problem with airflow, it shouldn't matter what surface you put it on.

Usually better to put wooden furniture panel or plate of glass underneath it if you have it stand on the carpet and it has bottom-mounted PSU that draws air in through grill in the case floor.

Unless the bottom of your PC is an "intake" for fresh air or has "intake" fans mounted into the bottom of it, no.

My PC has an intake on the bottom for the PSU so i stand mine on a piece of cardboard to prevent any carpet 'fuzz' being sucked in.

You should be careful with the possibility of static electricity on the carpet, so it's always a good idea to place it on a wooden or glass surface. A computer desk chair mat or any plastic surface should work, too.

depends on the design of the pc

if the psu is bottom mount pulling air from the bottom, do not put it on carpet

any other design can be ok, you may need larger feet or to place a raiser under it to help lift it off the carpet if it runs warm

like others are saying , if it has power supply on bottom
then raise it off carpet...
I use a 1'' x 6'' x 24'' board ....
