8350 can't pull it's weight in Gaming anymore anyways... so of course it will.

Maybe if all you will ever do is 1080p gaming. But if so, then there is simply no need for a GTX 1080 to do that, since it won't even break a sweat with Ultra/1080p/60FPS; a GTX 1060 6GB or 1070 8GB would be more than enough to do that.

An i5 will work perfectly fine for gaming. I recommend an i5 6600k or an i5 4760k. But if you really want an i7, than the i7 4790k. Although the i7 would be overkill if only used for gaming

Yes it bottlenecked mine before i upgraded to an i7..i used to have the 8350 vishera.

AMD Zen will launch soon, but will require a new motherboard and DDR4 RAM anyway. Wait until it's officially released before making a choice.

I mean if you really want to future proof for a long time. Get the i7 6600k. With this cpu, you'll be able to use ddr4 ram
