KERNEL_MODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED
Every time I try to open up STEAM to play some games my pc crashes, Blue screen shows up with message KERNEL_MODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED, and it begins restarting my pc. Message also says, paraphrasing, " Things did not work like they intended. Windows is restarting to correct issue." Only happens when I try to open STEAM. I have no other issues when doing or running other software.
BTW I am using a Surface Pro 4 i5 intel processor. Don't know the rest of specs but is far from a gaming PC. I only play the less graphics hungry games, preferably ShellShock.

Thanks for any help, I will try to reply back.

If it's doing that I think the CPU is being thrown at with too much information to handle but I don't know errors that well but I'd suggest going to a small business PC fixer upper I don't recommend micro center really and never go to Best Buy it's really foolish to they will scam you

Forgot to mention that all was working fine before "it " happened. I had just started to play ShellShock Live about two weeks ago, got 6 six hours of play time before the problems started.

Reboot it every few hours; it's a Tablet... it's not going to game seamlessly all day long.
And Phones/Tablets running demanding apps that long are highly prone to getting too hot.

I'm not a Windows developer but for what can understand this error is related to a bug in a driver. Do what Bad-Motha suggest, If that doesn't work then start searching for any update available for your device (or search for any recent driver/system update - maybe you can return to a previous version that hasn't the issue -).

Also take a look at this msdn[msdn.microsoft.com] suggestions:

  • Make sure you have enough disk space.
  • If a driver is identified in the bug check message, disable the driver or check with the manufacturer for driver updates.
  • Try changing video adapters. [no sense in your device]
  • Check with your hardware vendor for any BIOS updates.
  • Disable BIOS memory options such as caching or shadowing. [probably not related with your problem]
