Recommended Liquid AIO Coolers for an Intel I7 6700k, anything up to 240mm?
Hey guys, corsair H100I GTX isn't working properly, and i'm getting a new cooler. I didn't do much research picking this cooler when I did, but now i'm a lot more educated (not smart at all, but more educated) in the pc building scene, and I need help deciding on a new AIO cooler that will mount properly unlike this corsair, that is within $130 but still quality. Any help would be great, and please don't leave useless comments like telling me to build my own loop, because that isn't going to happen.

Thanks!

I said too much maintanance, I know other brands in general may not have same problem as the antec
AIO should not have maintenance; that is the whole point of them.
However they don't last forever, and the included pump is critical to the entire AIO working, or not; but that is said for any liquid cooling config.

The maintenance should be roughly the same as with an Air Cooler; take the system and get all the dust blown out of it from time to time, as needed. I take my Desktops outside, being careful with them, remove the panels, use an air blower on them, being careful not to break any fans. Takes me just a few minutes, done.

Like a GPU, when using any AIO (or Radiator) where there are fans, there is dust built up (like caught between the Fans & Radiator) so yes you have to maintain it in the sense of keeping it dust free when possible; that helps a great deal, especially in the long run. Helps to use Case w/ Filters; have filters for any intake areas to avoid build-up inside the system. It's not 100% filtering; but it should catch and prevent most from entering. Meaning much less to actually do when blowing out the dust later.
Uhh more parts means more bound to failure....

Ohh and did I mention leaks?
Yes anything is possible. I prefer Air Coolers; but I have experience with many AIO and Custom types too.

AIOs are not worth their cost. Plus the cost of what could happen if you have a failure; especially a leak.

Most air coolers + fans; all at the fraction of the cost of any AIO unit; usually can provide just as good of cooling; sometimes even better.

A big mistake alot of people make when choosing liquid cooling; is thinking they don't still need plenty of fans / airflow.

Of course they are better... the evo 212 is significantly better than stock. You can easily get respectable and stable oc's with it

I don't like the idea of those huge air coolers that apply so much force and pressure on your motherboard. While not likely, i'd constantly be afraid the weight would cause it to snap/do damage.

Your worried about board warping from the pressure of heatsink??!?

Not even the biggest heatsink would put your board at risk.

Actually, it can and does.

It is typically a non-issue for primarily stationary PCs, but for the mobile gamer can be an issue.

These PCBs are pretty robust and are put thru worse torture tests... but it does happen, even if it is a small minority.

I've seen this first hand. Worst I've seen was a socket that had snapped and seperated from the PCB, which needed the mobo replaced. Least amount of damage was to the cooler's brace, which was fixed with a replacement standoff.

It's simple physics, really. A little weight, some leverage, and an external force... ta-da.

Mobile LAN gamers to retribute? LMFAO
Although I do agree a heatsink could cause damage bouncing around on the back seat, couldn't you just remove it before travelling and reinstall it when you arrive?

I havent' used a mega-sink CPU cooler before, but surely they just bolt in like the smaller ones do?

I don't even do lans and i still feel antsy about the whole idea, i mean the tower air coolers i see are fkin huge
