Mac partition running better than Windows Partition (Bootcamp)
So I have Minecraft installed on both Windows and Mac in my Macbook. They are both set to the same graphical settings, the same version, and everything, but on Windows, the framerate isn't as smooth as it is on the Mac; I have to run the game on the lowest quality, but even then it still has framerate issues. Why is that? I have Windows 8.1, and the Mac partition has the latest version. What's even weirder is that I can play games like Torchlight 2, Guitar Hero 3, Sims 4, League of Legends, CS:Go, and Garry's Mod perfectly.

Specs:
Intel i5-3210M 2.5 GHz
Intel HD Graphics 4000
4 Gb Ram

Minecraft uses Java.
Java for Windows is a horrible mess.
Java for Unix / BSD (Apple Mac OS X, macOS Sierra) isn't that bad and has good OpenGL performance.

OpenGL is faster than Direct 3D.

This that particular game performs better under Mac.

Sierra is insanely optimised.

If you are using WinOS 64bit; then be sure to install both versions of Java; x86 and x64.
As the x64 is needed for better performance where System RAM and GPU VRAM is concerned.
