Gamepad switched buttons as of today

As of today, all games using the gamepad have got some switched buttons. I know it's Steam, because in Windows/Control/Setup USB Game Controller the buttons react the same way as usual.

Do you guys experience the same?

It's been confirmed, that it's a bug in newest beta. Opt out of Beta Steam at View/Settings/Account/Beta participation, and it should get back to normal. A restart of Steam will issue.

It helped me. They will surely repair this soon.

I had the same problem with my PS5 controller. I tried to remap the buttons before I knew it was a bug with the beta and now steam won't detect the controller at all anymore.
Does anybody have the same issue?

Edit: Reinstall seems to have resolved the connection issue.

check the mappings?

steam -> settings -> controller -> [general]
select controller -> identify (it will vibrate) -> preferences (give it a unique identifiable name, ex. xbone white pc)

steam -> settings -> controller -> [bpm/desktop/chord]
or steam -> library -> select game -> controller config
select controller, browse configs, select default or map as desired and apply

Same here:
- In game:
it just switches A and B and X and Y

- In big picture:
The buttons are correctly detected but A is written as "go back" and B is forced at select

Thought of a work around by going to the general controller configuration and use the switch layout.
Playing with this options didn't change anything, in fact none of those even seem to work

Either grab the re-release of today's beta update or opt out of using the beta for the client.
