Edit: Reinstall seems to have resolved the connection issue.
steam -> settings -> controller -> [general]
select controller -> identify (it will vibrate) -> preferences (give it a unique identifiable name, ex. xbone white pc)
steam -> settings -> controller -> [bpm/desktop/chord]
or steam -> library -> select game -> controller config
select controller, browse configs, select default or map as desired and apply
- In game:
it just switches A and B and X and Y
- In big picture:
The buttons are correctly detected but A is written as "go back" and B is forced at select
Thought of a work around by going to the general controller configuration and use the switch layout.
Playing with this options didn't change anything, in fact none of those even seem to work
