Which upgrade path that more worth it ?
Current PC spec :
CPU : Ryzen 3 3200g
Ram : 2x4gb 2666mhz dual channel
PSU : Antec atom v550 550W
Motherboard : Asrock b450m-HDV (AM4 slot)
Storage : 1x 250gb SATA SSD, 1x 1TB HDD

Now for the upgrade path i have 2 option :

Option 1 :
+CPU : Ryzen 5 3600
+RAM : 2x8gb 3200mhz dual channel
+GPU : Galax Geforce GTX 1650 4GB DDR6 EX (1-Click OC) - Dual fan

Option 2 :
+RAM : Same as option 1
+GPU : MSI Geforce GTX 1660 super 6gb ddr6
+PSU : be quiet ! system power 9 500W CM - Modular - 80+ Bronze
+Storage : ADATA SX6000 Lite 512GB M.2 NVME

some personal note :
- As for gaming, well mostly medium game like insurgency sandstorm, no man sky, and old battlefield like bf1 and bf4. No plan buying new AAA game after upgrade.

- In option 2 you can see im planning to buy an ssd. Its because so i can move all of my game to that ssd where the HDD i can use for college stuff and such (currently my hdd has 295GB left and ssd has 84GB left, kinda paranoid with that number so i plan to buy that m.2 ssd just for storing games)

- No plan in overlock btw.

Now, from those 2 option. Which one is worth the upgrade ? Thanks in advance :)

If it was me, option 1 would be it - cpu and gpu upgrade...
do you have a current gpu you are upgrading *from* ?

you can get rid of the ram comparison if they are the same, it will be easier to compare that way.

Nope, cuz ryzen 3 3200g is a igpu.

option 2 could also be worth it - do you have plans for the old hardware ?
main considerations are the cpu and gpu, but also why is the psu going down in wattage ?
_I_ 5/ago./2022 às 21:47
3200g isnt a horrible cpu

put it with the 1660s would be a good mix for it

upgrade the cpu and ram later if the 5600x gets cheaper or on sale

Actually the main consideration is the gpu and ram, but since 1660 going to bottleneck cuz 3200g and other cpu is expensive a bit hence why i make other option. The reason for psu is for because the famous brand = good psu and 80+ plus bronze = save more power i guess ??? Idk im still confused bout choosing psu for longer usage.

Instead of messing with Ryzen 5 3600 I would go with Ryzen 5 5600X, needs BIOS update.
Throw out the old RAM and get 2x8 GB 3200 Mhz CL 16.
GTX 1660 Super is decent option when you can get it cheap.

Probably best to start with GTX 1660 Super and then save money for 5600X and RAM upgrade. RAM is cheap so you can do it before 5600X.

None of your options are good. 3200g is a weak 4c/4t CPU which will bottleneck anything above GTX 1060. And your selected GPU GTX 1650 is also very weak, its 4 GB Vram makes it even more unsuitable for modern games. Collect some more money and get Ryzen 3600x/ 5600x with RTX 1660 Super. It will make a decent PC for 1080p gaming for years.

the igpu is the weakest part
upgrade that first for the greatest effect

1650 is weak, get something much better even if you cant afford a better cpu at this point

for ram 2x8g 3200+ cl16- kit ~$50

If you can make something like this, then great.

If your budget is tight, there is no problem to downgrade to GTX 1660, GTX 1650 super or GTX 1650 GDDR6, GTX 1650 GDDR5 and the worse of the all, but ok for not AAA games is RX6500XT.

Edit: Maybe l am wrong about RX 6500XT that it is worse than GTX1650... but it deppends how much VRAM you will use so

Ryzen 5 5500 is performing like Ryzen 5 3600.

Ryzen 5 4500 is performing like Ryzen 5 2700X (Note: Ryzen 5 4500 have 2 cores less, but the single core performance is better)

From Ryzen 3 3200G to Ryzen 3 4100 is not a big jump and not a small. Ryzen 5 3600 is around 10-20% faster than Ryzen 3 4100, while R3 3200G can't keep up with the Ryzen 5 2600

does 4500 still worth a bit if 5500 out of stock ?
