News and interests on Windows 10 is broken.

I love the weather information on the taskbar so much and I absolutely hate everything else about this feature. Is there any way to get rid of all the news and show only the weather when you click the weather text / icon on the taskbar?

I'm freaking out at this feature because my location and temperature unit keeps resetting and I can't find a way to get rid of all the stupid news even though only the weather "information card" is enabled in the settings of the News and interests pop-up.

I just want to see the weather and nothing else, and I don't want the weather to keep resetting.

I tried disabling the weather information card just to test if it would change anything and even after refreshing the whole thing, weather is s till there. This whole thing is completely broken in every possible way. Literally every single function it has just doesn't work... at all.

I even opened the MSN thing in Edge where you can fully personalize it and went through all settings there and blocked all "interests" (all possible topics that could come up), but no luck, they just got unblocked... and it didn't work even while they were blocked.. It still shows that only the weather information card is enabled, out of all information cards that exists, but I see a ton of other stuff regardless. Now, when I open the list of all blocked stuff, it says their service is temporarily down, so hopefully that's why nothing I do works.

Not to mention that the whole thing is awfully laggy unlike everything else on the whole system.

Is this Windows 11 you're talking about? Assuming it is, what happens when you right-click on the taskbar and open Taskbar Settings? Is Widgets enabled?

I'm talking about that feature on 10 that made weather information appear in the bottom-right corner for every Windows 10 user, and when you click on it, a pop-up with more weather information and a bunch of news appears.
