RAM compatibility with Ryzen 5 5500

Hello everyone,

I would like to know if there is a way to look if a ram is compatible with the Ryzen 5 5500, mine is not (can't run at normal frequency), the website only features high end ram (the cool RBG trident Z ones) and some that I can't find, any tips ?

The specs for the R5 5500 says,

Are you still using the Gigabyte ga-a320m-s2h rev1.1 MB? Because the R5 5500 and MB both say the same thing.

yes I am, unfortunately you can have a DDR4 3200 that can't run on it that's why I would like to know if there is a way to know this.

whatb do you have as RAM right now and what is not working ?
I see no reason 3200MHz DDR4 RAM not to work

2400 Mhz one, that's why it doesn't work but I saw some 3200 don't work with it, just bought some corsair, hope it will work

They're fine as far as generic ram goes. Just be certain you only need 16gb (2x8). Running 4x8 could be problematic, especially on different sets of Corsair, who are known to swap chips in later revisions. If you feel you may need 32gb in the near future get 2x16 dual ranks.

Best bet is 2666, 3000 or 3200; pretty much everything else is not good for it or simply wont work. I would suggest 2x 8GB or 2x 16GB from GSkill or Corsair. Lowest timings you can get helps.
