Swiftech H220 X2 vs H240 X2
The h220 x2 is dual 120mm and the H240 x2 is the dual 140mm one, which would offer better cooling (price doesn't matter) and which one is more reliable?

You would think the 140mm fans would cool better. 55 CFM vs 90 for the 140s. And I'd imagine they would be about the same regarding reliability.

Reviews on these are iffy most places I've looked.

I understand that cooling doesn't always rely on fan size. I noticed putting two 120m fans in the front of my case cools better than one big 200m one.

I've been recommended to Swiftech on the discussions before and done some research, haven't really read much bad about it.

If you can recommend an AIO than please do so.

Currently i'm replacing a Corsair H100i GTX, so while I still want the best my money can buy, a lot of coolers could be better.
Not saying I want to settle for something bad though

You need to research what will fit in the case you've selected. This is the most important part.

H220 X2
127 mm x 254 mm x 28 mm

H240 X2
140 mm x 293 mm x 28 mm

Pump speeds appear to be the same. Faster fans and a larger radiator will make the H-240 perform better, guaranteed.

Other than the cooler you tried and had issues with, I can't really recommend anything. Just offering my 2 cents.

I have a full tower which they would both fit in, but from what I understand, bigger fan doesn't always mean better airflow

Split between the H220-X2 and the ID-Cooling Frostflow 240L
any advice?
The Frostflow is the editor's choice on tom's hardware if that's even significant

If the CFM is higher, then I'd go with the 140mm Fan setup (280mm Rad)

But yea regarding a 200mm fan; most Cases (that come with Fans) come with very low RPM fans that generally are poor quality. So a 200mm fan moving more air; that can depend on the max RPMs mostly. Just because it is large sized doesn't mean better, no.
