I have a gtx 970 in its box and a gtx 1080 in my gaming machine.

Would it be possible to install the gtx 970 also and use that for the raytracing work?

A 2080ti with dedicated hardware struggles with Ray tracing due to just how demanding it can be (it really is impressive and the future, honestly), don't expect it to run well on 10 series, and older like a 970.... Not a chance even dedicated for the job.

according to nvidia the 9XX series and below aren't going to receive support which kinda makes sense.. if there is any sense to be had about this whole thing lol

It can't be any worse than it already is, looking at RTX on vs RTX off. Go from 144hz to 40hz even on a 20 series card.

Useless for me.
I don't even play those games that support ray tracing.
And I want more stable FPS on my modified GTAV.
