best cpu for rx 570 4gb

what should i choose? i currently have amd phenom 2 965 x4 cpu. i have an eye on the amd ryzen 2600. is this oversized for my gpu(rx 570 4gb)? i am on a small budget.

The 2600 would go great with the 570.

The 3000 series will most likely release in abour 3 months. And then it might still take a month or two for these CPUs to become readily available.

But sure, you could wait if you want.

I would live with the Phenom till the 3000 series launches and see what they have to offer, early leaks look really promising.
