some can do spdif digital 5.1, assigning the output to a left channel
imho, if you want better sound, use a htib 5.1, most now can use hdmi as audio from the gpu
Home theater in a box. Its basically the kits they sell for tvs but no reason you couldn't use it on pc.
but i spose you would not notice that if you never had the x530
the z506 sound ok but i ended up throwing mine away just
recently as a capacitor was causing hum/buzz and i wrecked
the circuit board trying to fix it.. 10 years old for that to happen
so i cant complain to much but something to think about
considering my x530 are still going strong from 2004..
also i have never needed to used these speakers to their
full capacity as i have the speaker volume on half on both
sets and i was using them on my TV as well.. great for movies..
It has THX certified. I'm not sure price difference and cost performance though.
