Is my OS SSD drive bad?

Not sure which one is actually correct but HW info shows its at 77% while the WD dashboard shows at 90% are the readings actually not accurate the SSD is less then a year old as for how much i bought it its pretty cheap

Percentages by themselves are useless if you don't know the metric on how those values are calculated.

Could be one program shows and calculates the total useage as recovery partitions and some hidden backup partitions which are being created during installation, and the other tool shows just the active partition.

sorry but what i meant is the Health status of my SSD though i do backups every now and then i like to check my drives every 6months

For SSDs it is important to disable auto-defrag, SSDs should not be defragmented. this unneeded process for SSDs uses up your SSDs and so shorten their life.

open "dfrgui.exe" and change settings that your SSDs may not be auto-optimized..

then again "diskmgmt.msc", right click your SSD, settings, Details/Tools and check stuff..

Also use regularly "cleanmgr.exe", hook up all options and delete just everything there, and same again with Clean System option button at the lower left..

As for checking health of your drives, there are many programs out there. I cannot recommend one as I never used such a SSD scanning tool yet. Various BIOS do show all neccessary stuff.

On Windows 11, open Settings > System > Storage > Advanced storage settings > Disks & volumes.

Open the properties for the hard drive and check the health status.

The status will show the estimated remaining life, available spare, and temperature.
