I7 7700k 4.4ghz sin uso y 100°
Hi guys, how do you do? I bought the 7700k i7, did not give me the money to buy the water cooler (I bought it the following month) and I'm with a tt of 3600rpm .. The issue is that being on the desk with nothing open and doing nothing the processor strip 4400mhz .. With 60-70 °. And when I enter a heavy resource game as an example the PUBG proceeds with the 4400mhz and pulls 100 °. I understand that the grades is normal for the cooler I have .. But my question is why I throw the 4400mhz while doing nothing? And I take the opportunity to ask, am I at risk if I use the process at 100 ° for one month? Can I melt? I lose useful life? Thank you!!!!

Mother: h110m-h
Ram: 8gb ddr4 2400mhz
Process: i7 7700k stock, no OC
Cooler process: tt tr2 t1 3600rpm
Case: just a normal i dont remember the name, with NO cooler in case

List your full specs, OS, cpu cooler, case, how your fans are configured in the case...

It will help. Either you lack proper airflow, your liquid cooler is broken, or you did not mount it correctly.

Helli bro, thanks for the answer. Yeah sorry, here you have:
Mother: h110m-h
Ram: 8gb ddr4 2400mhz
Process: i7 7700k stock, no OC
Cooler process: tt tr2 t1 3600rpm
Case: just a normal i dont remember the name, with NO cooler in case

My thermal paste its new i bought it yesterday, its DELTA with metal particles.
The only problem is that the cooler was with an A10 7850k and mother a68hm.. So this cooler didnt enter well with the i7, so i put it above the process without restraints

If I guessed but the discipador is well on top of the processor and the cooler goes to 3600rpm .. Although it is not for intel I li adapted well. Anyway I tried putting a cooler from another pc, which is for intel and goes to 3000rpm. And anyway I threw 100 ° too.

You have to buy a cooler for an 1151 z170 or z270 socket you cant just throw any cooler on there

Okey bro thanks a lot. I will buy the tt water cooling riing 3.0. But anyways, i ask you. I run risk using the process at 100°??? Its just for one month. I need to know that!!!

Dont use it at 100c its doing long term damage and degrading it

Ok bro thanks. Wait for my answer in more or less 15 minuts. I will put a photo here with the two coolers and a question :)

If I put the cooler guy (which is for intel) in the processor. And I put the big cooler (without discipater) in the air outlet that you see on the left in the cabinet. Will the temperature go down?

PD: Please do not pay attention to the processor thermal paste, now i will clean it hahaha

Actually you're spreading misinformation and this is -VERY BAD-.

The correct information is: -NO- 100c does -NOT- damage a 7700K processor.

See here: https://ark.intel.com/products/97129/Intel-Core-i7-7700K-Processor-8M-Cache-up-to-4_50-GHz

This is the actual published Intel specifications for the I7-7700K on the Intel website. Control-F and find "Package Specifications". Then see where it says "TJUNCTION 100°C". According to published Intel specifications, by Intel, the 7700K is perfectly normal up to and including 100c.

This will -NOT- cause any damage to the processor what so ever. It is hot, yes, and you should take steps to try and reduce the temperature, yes. But it won't actually damage anything. The processor is designed to run at this temperature and will not take any harm from it.

It will -NOT- degrade the processor either.

Intel has failsafe protections built in to modern processors. If the processor does reach 100c, it will just throttle-back and reduce it's clock speeds automatically. As well, if the processor ever does reach any temperature above 100c (which is where it actually would take damage) the system overheat protection would kick in and just completely shut off the computer before any actual damage to the chip occurs.

So as long as the system is actually running, don't worry about anything. If it's shutting off, then worry.

So what can i say? You are a genious! I never had read that!! So i keep calm. By the way, can you read what i said up your coment? The thing of two coolers. Thnks you!!!!

Both of those coolers look to be grossly inadequate for a 7700K. You should have some sort of aftermarket cooler for it. Preferably one with multiple heat pipes. If you have a good cooler on it, the 7700K @ stock should run average 65-to-mid-70's C

It shuts off after 100c its well known after 85c does damage by all means tell him to run 100c if youll offer up the doe to buy a new one

I don't have to. Intel warranty covers their processors up to and including 100c. If it ever does sustain damage for any reason, even running at 100c, they can get a free replacement via Intel. As long as the processor was bought brand new, in sealed original retail packaging.
