thas made for a 30-50w cpu, its $10 cooler for a reason
tx3 would be pushing a 95w cpu
try cleanign its stock cooler, pull the fan and blow it out with an aricompressor
if the fan is dead, pick up a tx3/t4 or better cooler for it
kk
I just took it the the cpu off and made sure its positioned and took off the chasis fan and blew the dust off it.
Also, I made a mistake and put the chasis fan backwards.
Would it do harm if the chasis blows inward to keep everything else cool?
I'll only have this mobo for another few weeks, gonna try and grab an am4.
dont know much about overclocking lol
so if it goes over 75 is cutting it kinda close. I dont have any thermal paste.
I made a mistake and put the chasis on backwards, would it be okay if the chasis blows inward?
Like I said above, Im planning on getting a new am4 mobo in a few weeks.
spin it around
any thermal paste is better than none
am4 borad will not work with fx cpu
it will also need ddr4 ram
kk
Gonna snag a ryzen with it and ddr4 and a psu
if you have 2 fans with poor cooling, they are mismatched or low sp fans
use the stock fan or a fan with high sp on coolers/rads
kk
I turned the chasis backwards.
It only goes up to 66 c now.
Hopefully, I'll be upgrading.
Alrighty!
You mean 2 chasis fans?
Or does that apply to psu fan and cpu fan?
If you have a side panel intake, that helps out quite a bit with cooling and/or a second exhaust fan on top (if your case has top vents).
sp = static pressure fans, for rads/coolers
af = air flow fans, for vents
the 212 includes a very good sp fan, if paired with a af or low sp fan on the 212 it will perform worse than with its stock fan alone

Oddly enough the FX6300 ^ temp threshold is 70.5c.
The tower would probably shut down at that point ^, even the old Brisbane kicked the PC off at 80c-82c.
The case is an old pavilion a1210n!
It has side panels for air, and only one chasis
Need a new case though.
ohhh kk
Dont know much about that... gonna do some research on it later
Omg!
Thanks for the link!
My FX was was well over that amount!
I hope I caught it in time. Would suck if anything is damaged.
So far ive been playing gta 5 and conan these past few hours. It has reached the max temp of 66.5c
Im hoping that it remain below 70c for a while.
Ive been seeing that a lot on google about the fx can withstand over 80 c
kinda makes me feel less worried
The majority of FX buyers go straight to a 212evo or alike coolers and never even use the stock cooler.
Sorry to burst your bubble but 85c is crazy for FX.
