M.2/ SSHD Sector default and GPT/MBR?
Hello,

I recently has to reformat my pc and reinstalled windows 10.

Problem is that I am unsure if the drives should be GPT or MBR.

Aswell as sector size.

My drives are:

M.2 NVME Samsung 960 EVO 250GB
Seagate Firecuda 2TB SSHD

MoBo:
Rampage V Extreme (non 10)!
Processor:
i7 5960X Intel

At the moment I have had to do a diskpart and had to clean both as I was having issues.

But I cannot remember mostly with was using GPT/MBR and sector size.

According to the data sheet with both drives it says 4K but says something about 4x 512 but surely should be 8x 512. To make the 4K sector.

Maybe someone can tell me about there setup.

I use the Samsung 960 EVO for my OS, and the seagate Firecuda SSHD for my Gaming Drive.

Are you formatting both drives to be clean again?

Just only attach the SSD + Win10 USB Flash Drive and install the OS, there is nothing more than that to do.

Shutdown after OS completes the install and hookup secondary drives as needed.

if you are clean installing, either GPT or MBR will work.
GPT is optimal for large disk drives while MBR is optimized for 'smaller sized drives'.
