Is the Logitech G402 Hyperion Fury still good for 2018-9?
Hi, planning to get a Logitech G402 Hyperion Fury and I want to know if its sensor is still good up to today in games. I saw a cheaper mouse here in my country with a PixArt 3360 sensor, I want to know if the G402 is still worth it. Compare to the newer sensor. Here is the Pixart 3360 guy Tecware Torque Pro[www.tecware.co]. Thanks.

Any mouse works fine in games, the Fury will be perfectly okay.
People talk about all these sensor types like they actually matter; they really don't as long as they aren't cheap to the point they don't respond well, and it ultimately depends on the user how well a mouse performs; you can spend over 100$ on a mouse with the best sensor available and still be trash in games, even losing to someone with a basic Microsoft mouse if they have skill.

G403 lack sniper button? Better sensor and much lighter.

What's the reason you want the G402? The button? Price?

The sniper button is totally useless, many games don't support it.
I own that mouse.

A game does not need to support it as it's just a DPI switch.
I do have it myself and am content with it. I don't use the sniper button though.

i use a hyperion fury G 402 .. works fine here

got it as a replacement for a failing G400 S gaming mouse i bought a few years ago under logitech warranty replacement

buttons are a bit smaller ..but works fine with the logitech software if you wanna reconfig a mouse button to a key stroke for any game or application

if ya got the cash get a 502 or better mouse .. but yes the g 402 hype one works fine here

oh and yes logitech has the best tech support ..as long as you register your product .. easy free replacement and upgrade if your mouse fails under your warranty period .. never had to send my bad mouse back .. got the G 402 (to replace my G 400 S ) within a week

save the box it comes in or record the serial number on the bottom or packageing ..you'll need that if it fails ..

Which is why I remap mine to some other keystroke and now I have three thumb buttons.
