Any here able to help with a Zotac gtx 1070 mini?
I just bought a new GTX 1070 mini. I installed it correctly and everything worked except that one of the fans spins really loud while the other one is idle. Shouldn't they both be idle? Is my new card broken already? I checked using firestorm and it doesn't say the fans are spinning and the card is at 32 degrees. I thought this card was supposed to be quiet when I'm not gaming.

Mini cards are really never actually quiet because they run hotter more easily and the fans are smaller and spin faster to offset their small size. Ironically, they're usually louder than normal size cards.

But other people say this is a quiet card when it's idle. I haven't overclocked it or anything, but one of teh fans just spins loudly for no reason.

well you could install something like msi afterburner/rivatuner and set your fanspeed at certain temp yourself... some cards do not need spinning fans till a certain temp and cool passive till then... example would be the evga gtx 1060 superclocked...

do you know how to use and adjust firestorm?

Fan curve, or there is an issue with the card. Yes, any card should be relatively quiet on idle as long as the fan curve is set properly. If the profile wasn't done right, that may cause it.

If it doesn't turn on no matter what you try, contact Zotac support and try to RMA.

if only 1 fan is spinning its most likely a bad fan or its controller if they are not powered together

This is normal on the Zotac Mini cards. That's just how they have been made.
THere could be a vBIOS update for it which fixes it.

It's not normal. The fans aren't supposed to be spinning during low loads. But, the one fan is spining at full blast and is really loud. I don't know how to get it to stop.
