BSOD (PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA NTFS.sys) when interacting in any way with steam

Hello just to be clear this is not an issue I have ever had before on my computer and this started today after I came home and started my computer up. So I have been running into an issue where as soon as steam launches I get a BSOD with the error code in the title. I originally thought this was a OC issue as i have gotten this particular BSOD before and lowering my clock for a while helped (not with steam but on boot) So I removed my CPU OC as well as my RAM OC and changed my voltages to stock. But as soon as I booted up and steam opened it crashed again. So I disabled steam start on boot and decided to update my Nvidia driver as well as remove my paging file (I have 16GB ram so it should be necessary). I then tried to start steam and still got a BSOD. I then attempted to uninstall steam but it crashed while uninstalling and just removed some game icons from my desktop (hoi 4 is still here and works without killing my PC). I am unable to uninstall steam or start it.

While waiting for some replies I decided to run memtest86+ for funzies, will update results.

I would suspect harddrive failure and possibly corrupt OS. Run a HDD tool like seatools to check for any errors, it can usually fix things automagically. Depending on what happens next a reinstall of Windows might be in order.

P.S. what did memtest come up with? Protip: test one module at a time

Memtest was all gucci, I started to0 suspect windows corruption and ran startup repair whiche fixed the issue, thanks for the reply.

As XistenZ says filesystem corruption or HDD problem are both the most likely suspects. something like Seatools is a good idea, but programs like that are OEM specific. Make sure you find and use the diagnostics tools from the manufacturer of your HDD.

Don't disable your pagefile. It doesn't help anything and it can actually break certain programs which might require it.
