Rgb + non-rgb Ram - What could go wrong?
Hi Community,

i have a question regarding the possible issues if i combine the following types of ram in my system:
16GB G.Skill Trident Z RGB DDR4-3000 DIMM CL16 (F4-3000C16D-16GTZR) (Dual =2x8)

and

2x 8GB G.Skill Aegis DDR4-3000 DIMM CL16 Single (F4-3000C16S-8GISB)

I saw something about Aura-Sync corrupting the timings of the ram or something like that, since i would have 2 rgb and 2 non rgb ram´s in the system, is there a possibility for anything bad to happen, be it performance issues or incompatibility betwenn the 2 types of ram. the rgb ones are running normal at the moment and are correctly syncing with the rest of my rgb stuff.

Has anyone tried this or should i just stick with the 16gb of rgb ram?

PS: my grammar sucks, i know ;/

It's just for asthetics. the LED (and controller) use so little current, unless your board's got REALLY crappy VRM's (Voltage regulators) it should cause zero negative impact.

Nothing will go wroung. Install the memory correctly, ie RGB ram in Channel A, non-RGB in channel B otherwise you will only get half your memory reported.
