8 GB of RAM 667 MHz
Is 667 MHz that bad? Are games like PUBG, BO4, etc... still playable with 8GB, 667MHz

it's time to upgrade your system if DDR2 667 is the best memory it can support. That's 15 year old tech.
that was just an example from a 15 year old build i had
swapping ram made the p4d alot snappier

Simple answer.

DDR3 / DDR4 also known as double-data-rate ram there is a reason it's called this. Because the clock * 2 hence double data-rate. It also has the name "Double pumped RAM"

There is a similar varient to this in GDDR however this is known as Quadpumped RAM. Meaning the clock * 4.

Hope that helps.

no
gddr = graphics ddr
its not 4x, still 2x freq
the dedicated ram on gpus is clocked alot higher than current ddr4

People come on, I'm not saying anything. I just asked the easiest question. I wasn't sure, so I asked here. If you're curious, my motherboard can support up to 8GB of RAM, 1333 MHz. Upgrading PC is the least of my worries right now.

You don't need to get defensive. Most unbuffered DDR2 667 was the older 1.8V spec which isn't compatible with the later 1.5V DDR2 800, 1066 and 1333 (they're keyed differently). Your hardware is probably still old, but 1333Mhz will perform significantly better, so if your board supports it, it would be a good idea to replace that older RAM with the best the board can support.

you could try and get DDR2 800 or better yet DDR2 1066
if this work with your M B

but this'll help

Friendly name Industry name Peak Transfer Rate
DDR2-533 PC2-4200 4266 MB/s
DDR2-667 PC2-5300 5333 MB/s
DDR2-800 PC2-6400 6400 MB/s
DDR2-1066 PC2-8500 8533 MB/s

ddr 2 1066 is pricey ..and quite hard to find even in the USA ..op is better off with a new system with DDR 4
\rather then try to upgrade an old DDR 2 main board ,,that may only support 4 gig @ 1066

and only certian dimms

depends what type of ddr 2 1066 it is for it to be pricey,
also it depends if this board can support this type of ram,
could be that all that would work would be ddr 2 800.
