Remember the first time you've created such a thread ?The 3000 series wasn't even released back then.
By the time you can afford a 6400 or whatever, there will be probably a 8400/9400 which will suit you much better.
If you want ultra mega cheap PC, then buy some random Athlon 2000G or something
(jk, dont do it)
i wouldnt buy rx 6400. it costs roundabout 200€. i think it is throwing money away. if you can...wait and buy a faster, more expensive one. btw the rx 6400 can play a lot of games and if you dont have a lot of money, rx 6400 is a choice to live with.

The 11400F is the only good 11th gen CPU, but if it costs too much more than the 10400F or too close to the 10600K then it's not very valuable of a CPU.
Ultimately counts on how close 10th/11th gen platform is to 12th gen overall, if the pricing is within 100$, I'd say go with 12th gen because Alder Lake was a pretty substantial improvement, as the 12400 is basically equal to a 10850K in gaming performance, while the 10400F falls quite a bit short.
The main drawback of the 6400 and 6500-XT is the 4.0 X4 lanes, anything less than PCI-e 4.0 bandwidth can result in a substantial performance deficit, especially with cheaper CPUs that only support 3.0; in some cases, the 3.0 limited Ryzen 5 4500, which costs more than the i3-12100F and has an overall system cost about equal, performed 20~30% slower than the i3 with the 6500-XT. On average, it's a 10~15% loss of FPS just by running PCI-e 3.0, which can be the difference between passing 30 or 60 FPS depending on the game and settings.
and for the GPU i will just wait for the 40 series to come out and i'll buy whichever one is below $400 (4050/4060/4060 Ti/Super)
If the 3050 and 6500-XT are any indication of the industry not caring about the poorest gamers, the 4050 probably won't even be worth its price tag unless it's actually faster than the 3060, because the 2060 was faster than the 3050 in a number of instances. Why buy a 4050 if the 3060 ends up being faster and cheaper, especially through second hand?
I think that it's almost the same in terms of raw benchmarks as the R9 380 I bought in 2015 for about £170. Obviously in terms of how it will run modern games it'll maybe do a bit better, but I wouldn't expect miracles out it... I mean, you might as well get yourself a second hand GTX 1070 or something if £170 is really all you can afford to spend, that's about what they go for second hand in the UK.

There's a poster in the HZD forums, always goes on about his second hand 1070 and how he runs the game at a steady locked 50fps. He might be your VFM guru here.
