Realtek issues
I built a new system and I installed the Realtek Universal driver from my mobo manfacturer's site. (MSI) It seems that I installed the driver ok. I unzipped the folder, opened it, and clicked the Setup.exe. And the driver shows in device manager, etc. The issue is, everything that I read says it includes the HD Audio Manager but it didn't. I went to program files but have no realtek/audio/HD.2, or whatever it's called. It's supposed to contain RtkNGUI64.exe. Apparently that is the Manager. But I don't have it. I looked all through the download folder for that file but it isn't in there either. I can't seem to find anywhere to download the Realtek HD Audio Manager or the Audio console, which I read works better than the Manager. Every time I search for it it's on some sketchy site that wants me to install their garbage with it. If anyone can help me out that would be awesome.

Did you restart Windows after installing the driver package?

Win10 or 11?

Did you click the arrow button in the notification icons area to see if its there? As it should load up into there as an OS Startup background app.

It will also help to update to the latest BIOS.

I can get audio without Realtek, but my system doesn't seem to detect my headphones properly. To get them to work I have to select Speakers, instead of Realtek audio. When I switch it over to Realtek the audio goes away. I figured if I can get the Manager installed I can probably fix that by enabling Front panel in the Manager. I had Realtek on my last system and I liked the control it had. Not sure why I'm having such a hard time.

I have the latest bios. I'm stumped. The Universal file they gave me just doesn't seem to include the manager. I don't know. I need to take a step back and reassess the situation. Thank you.

Speakers would be correct anytime you are using a 3.5mm Analog port based device.

Realtek usually refers to the digital s/pdif

But yea updating to latest BIOS helps things a bit.

And also getting latest AMD Driver (Ryzen Chipset) from AMD.com

Yes I checked notifications and manually search for the program. It's just not on my system.

I have a head set with dual USB I can use Speakers, but for some reason I'm having issues with port recognition. It's telling me my headset that is plugged into the usbs on the front panel are my speakers, and my actual speakers wont function and it says they aren't connected. It's really weird. I wanted the manager so I could select the different ports, etc.

Thank you for your help. Sorry some of my responses I posted before seeing your more recent replies. I'll just use speakers setting then.

You can't use 2 audio devices at the same time.
USB devices don't use the Realtek Audio at all.
Windows might just list the USB device as "Speakers" but you can rename that if you want.

You also never need the Realtek Audio Manager, its rather pointless.

Can configure everything audio-wise within the Windows Audio Settings.

did you run the realtek control panel app
and configure it as 2 separate sound cards, one for front jacks (as voip) and rear for system/game etc.. sounds

Yes bring up Classic Control Panel and see if you see the Realtek "crab" icon in there for the audio manager app. It might be installed but for whatever reason is not set to "Start with Windows / OS Startup"

WINKEY+R
type CONTROL
press Enter
the realtek audio manager isnt needed for it to work, but is needed to configure its intputs/outputs
