Realtek issues
I built a new system and I installed the Realtek Universal driver from my mobo manfacturer's site. (MSI) It seems that I installed the driver ok. I unzipped the folder, opened it, and clicked the Setup.exe. And the driver shows in device manager, etc. The issue is, everything that I read says it includes the HD Audio Manager but it didn't. I went to program files but have no realtek/audio/HD.2, or whatever it's called. It's supposed to contain RtkNGUI64.exe. Apparently that is the Manager. But I don't have it. I looked all through the download folder for that file but it isn't in there either. I can't seem to find anywhere to download the Realtek HD Audio Manager or the Audio console, which I read works better than the Manager. Every time I search for it it's on some sketchy site that wants me to install their garbage with it. If anyone can help me out that would be awesome.

Ok let me try this again. :steamfacepalm:
You don't need to install it manually. The OS will do it the same way it installs Nvidia Control Panel. If you have to install these things manually then you may have a problem. It's meant to be seamless.

Then why does MSI put a link for that on the support page as if you have to manually install it from the Windows Store.

Anyways good luck. These new motherboards are so stupid. No one should ever have to get anything or use the Windows Store, period.

I would just disable Realtek Audio in the BIOS and rid your system of everything Realtek Audio and go get USB DAC w/ AMP or get a PCIE Sound Card. Something that uses as little BS as possible.

It's always been a slap in the face to everyone, no matter how much you pay for a Motherboard you are always provided the worst audio option onboard.

You install driver then Windows sends out the pixies who magically retrieve the software. In the directory I provided there are folders for multiple OEM.
Ok yea I kinda figured that and that MSI just has it linked in the MB support site under Utility just for backup purposes.
Check bios and make sure hd audio is enabled?
Well he said the drivers installed, which wouldn't happen if the device was not present. But yes just follow the link to the Windows Store app and it should say whether it is already installed as far as the Realtek Audio Manager is concerned. If it is installed then you should see it in the StartMenu folders, if not try typing Realtek in the StartMenu or Cortana search box

That's exactly what I ended up doing. I just said screw it and got rid of Realtek altogether and have just been using the default audio. I just liked Realtek because I've had situations where, for some reason, an audio device wouldn't be detected, and with the Realtek Manager I could just manually enable the port that my device was plugged into and it would then start working. So far, though, my audio has been ok without it. Thanks to everyone for the replies.
What default audio?
