Are you looking to stuff the biggest hard drive(capacity) into that laptop or perhaps have some external drives which might have sets of games already completely installed(from your library)?
dont think we are after you here , we are not, but then you think over this how can that be a steam problem , in what hard drive you buy or change in the pc, im sure a steam moderator will move you to hardware and operating system.
this reply is also made so you get to know own store or learn to keep a basic knowledge in own country. ( such is required to learn on pc.) has nothing to do with me and the reply , diffrence is we all learn this along the way. )
Eh I just need extra hard drive and need something cheep nothing else to be honest
The Acer Nitro 5 is really a series of models so there are multiple configurations with different specs that are part of that series. The full model number would look something like AN517-41-R3NX which should be specific enough to see what specifications you have.
Otherwise,
Let see for my gaming laptop is Acer nitro 5 and what I consider cheep? To be honest not sure which type I just need like a cheep gb that doesn’t cost money like alot
i checked but couldnt find 2TB 2,5 inch hdd , so get an ssd . 1TB is around $100
Quick look says Nitro 5 has 2 x m.2 slots, meaning you need to fit a nice shiny m.2 drive in there. Although some places say there's also a 2.5" slot. Check before buying things.
Ok but first what’s the difference between hdd and sdd?

Acer nitro 5 is not a model, it is a series of models. Look on the bottom of the laptop for a label which should have the full model number which will be specific to that configuration. The model number will look similar to this: AN517-41-R3NX
What size drive does your laptop currently have? You can find the size in File Explorer > This PC
Do you want to replace the current drive inside your laptop or use an external drive?
What do you consider a lot of money? Is $100 USD a lot? is $200 USD alot?
let see mine is around 4.21 free of 237 and i just need an extra hardrive and yes i know mine is a model and all

Seems like you currently have a 256GB internal SSD so that will be an additional 4x the amount of storage you currently have.
If you would rather replace your internal SSD, I'd ask again for your specific model number from the label on the bottom of the laptop to know which manual to look at for your specific model.
