I have been considering replacing my laptop.

Budget is around 2000-2300$

That's a pretty neat budget that you can use to get a desktop rather.

But if you want a laptop, then I think ASUS have the best.

I would not really say half, GTX 1000 series graphics card are basicly same performance as desktop cards minus maybe overclocking potential from custom coolers of aftermarket manufacturers.
Also the new i7-7820HK laptop CPUs are quite good.

Ofcourse you could throw i7-8700K and GTX 1080 Ti desktop together for that money but you would still need decent monitor to not waste that potential:

Laptops are a terrible choice for gaming. High-End laptops are particularly bad, as adding high-performance parts only makes the endemic overheating and power draw problems worse. Laptops with GPUs like the 1060 and 1070 are effectively stationary - they can't actually be used as a laptop while gaming.

Also why I recommended the new Gigabyte X5, it has extra large battery running whole lenght of the laptop and heatpipes everywhere, check the review video I posted, they did thermal camera test also.

Wow. Sorry - I should've read the thread better. Good to see Gigabyte understanding the limits of the concept and making a genuine effort to improve, hopefully that spreads to other brands.
