amd rx 580 nvidia equivalent

i have heard that the nvidia equivalent to the rx 580 is a gtx 1060 or a gtx 1070. do you know which?

1060. The 1070 is the equivalent to the Vega 56.

Depends by the game, DIRT 4 for example shows GTX 1070=RX 580

GTX 1060 3GB - RX 570
GTX 1060 6GB - RX 580
GTX 1070 - RX Vega 56
GTX 1080 - RX Vega 64

It's somewhat rough estimate, doesnt mean that performance will be exactly same in all games.

I had a 1060 6 gig..
I have now a Rx580 8 gig..
I get about 10 to 15 more fps with the RX..
So id say a OCed 1060...or a 1070.

It really depends on the game. In some the 1060 wins in others the 580 wins.

are games not mostly only optimized for nvidia...?!?...and with that closed source features...??? would be nice if games for both sides optimized...who will lose then....
