Red line on screen sometimes, help!
I have thin red lines going through the left half of my screen at certain times. Some times on the splash screen when my computer is starting up. Some times it is when a game is loading, it never goes over everything. Like the windows bar at the bottom of the screen will not have the lines. I have an RTX 3070... Could it be the GPU or the monitor? I'm leaning towards the GPU. It's under warranty. Is this a warrantable issue since it is not constant. I can't believe this is happening at Christmas time when I actually might have some time to play games... HELP!

What CPU + Motherboard do you have?
So I can see if you have an onboard GPU you could try to rule out the NVIDIA GPU.

If do not have any other GPU you can try. Then try a different display first.
Any HDMI based Display will be fine. Then power on the system and enter the BIOS.
If any discolored lines or pixels in there, then it is your GPU, after having ruled out it being the Display.

Your display is going to die.

Dont pinch the bezel, itll go across and stay there

most likely the displays panel

it you twist the panel, and it comes/goes, its the panel
put it in a position that works, and dont touch

Like said just above. 99% it is the monitor. I have had this on two of them. Twist gently. Push on the edge of the screen where the line is. Top and bottom. Gently. There are web sites that will display a random pattern on the screen in the chance of unsticking the transistors. Worth a try.

If you want to be sure, reduce the memory clock and check if this is still happening.
