PC gaming is, and always has been... expensive.
If it's too expensive for most people to buy, then it wouldn't make sense to release games that can only be played using a high end card since not many people would be able to play that game. It will take a lot more to kill the PC gaming industry.
That's pretty expensive considering it's capability and that you can buy a 1030 that is thousands of times more powerful for $150 today.
unsustainable.
And today's cards aren't 1000x more complicated and expensive to build / design or anything....
Tell that to someone in 1999
What, that things get more complex over time? I think anyone with the know how to design a gpu would know that...
Not sure what you were getting at, but I suspect you have no idea what goes into making a gpu and just how complex and expensive they are to design and make.
That's exactly why they cost more today than 20 years ago..
Sounds like you were disagreeing.
2.crypto: since us printed a lot of cash (which is bad!) the crypto value gone up which gave crypto mining a sense , and so these folks keep buying the gpu on high price and mantaining it but nevertheless they get crypto and free cash and we loose by loosing gaming
3.covid is not over: mutation "Omicron" is on horizon which still causes supply problems
Oh and cars have gone up in price a hell of alot overall compared to 20 to 30 years ago.
Sorry but you seem to have no idea what you are talking about overall.
Even if the technology is evolving, even if we have quantum processors, for the normal user at the moment he doesn't need this thing, he can't use it, nor will be faster than if you play an old game and so on. We see that the CPUs and GPUs from 2014 are still in use and perform well enough to this day.
