Meshify C Case Fan Configuration
Currently looking to buy some Silent Wings 3 to replace my old fans which are currently positioned as 2 140mm front intake, and 1 120mm back exhaust. I was wondering if adding another 120mm exhaust on the top left would be beneficial at all.

Current specs:
Ryzen 5 5600x
Dark Rock 4
Sapphire Pulse RX 5600 XT
Meshify C
(current fans) 2x Corsair AF140, 1x AF120

I have the meshify c mid case, and have all the available fan slots being used.
As hot as pcs get now, I say can't hurt, especially during summer.
make sure you get good air flow pwm fans..

You already have an excellent fan for your Ryzen. What are your primary temperatures now?

I also have a Meshify C with one fan in and out and a Noctua on my cpu. Temps range from mid-upper 20s to mid 30s in general and I take off the upper mesh to help when things get hotter since heat rises.

But come summer, yes, the fan subject may come up again. Summers are getting hotter and more humid all the time...

We were just talking about positive air pressure in another thread.

Your 2 in, 1 out setup is good. The air pressure in your case is higher that the air surrounding it, which pushes air out all the nooks and crannies, instead of pulling more air (and dust) into your case.

If you do add another fan, I would make it another intake. In my Fractal case I have a third intake fan in the bottom, pulling air in through the dust filter. The only outlet fan is in the top rear, by the CPU. I think that bottom intake may help provide the GPU with more fresh air, which is nice.

In Australia right now the temps get pretty hot. Usually I idle at around 40 but gaming is usually in the mid 70s. sometimes closer to 80s. I'm more upgrading because of noise though. My current fans are extremely loud and very unpleasant. It's the oldest thing in my system.

I don't have a Meshify C but I have a Arc Midi with a similar fan arrangement you're asking about.

I have two intake fans at the front. I have one exhaust fan at the rear. I have one exhaust fan at the top rear (was intake at the top middle prior).

Normally I'd say I find the extra exhaust fan isn't necessary, especially for systems that aren't as high on the TDP/heat creation end of things, although in my situation I think it's helping more as my PC is currently in a corner so it helps give the exhausted air more ways out instead of being built up. With my older platform parts and a different PC location, I found I got slightly better results with the top fan as intake and in the forward (middle overall) spot. My side panel has a spot for a fan too, but i found it make no difference as intake, though I didn't try it as exhaust.

Your temperatures are fine. Presuming those numbers are for your CPU, I get similar, maybe a bit cooler temperatures (same CPU heatink but on a Ryzen 7 3700X), in both a colder part of the world and during the Winter. I'm not sure why 70C or above is increasingly being considered too warm when CPUs are only getting warmer, and on recent AMD CPUs, even 80C+ is fine (mine ran that way on stock cooling for a while), and Zen 3 is known to run warmer than Zen 2 as well.

The noise, however, is a valid concern if you find it too loud. I have both my intake fans and the top exhaust connected to my cases fan speed controller, which offers giving them 5V, 7V, or 12V, and I run them at 7V as they are much louder at 12V and I find the temperature difference is small enough to not trade having higher noise for it (they are all some sort of 140 mm Phanteks fans). I don't know if the Meshify C has this or not though, but there may be other ways to limit them if noise is the main concern. Adding another fan certainly won't make it quieter at any rate.

Thank you for your input! One of my reasons for getting another exhaust is because of a similar reason actually. My PC is in the very corner of my room on my desk and I often find too much heat builds up behind it.

I have found my long-term GPU temperatures seem to have dropped slightly since changing the top fan from intake to exhaust, but I also changed from the stock CPU cooler (Wraith Prism) to the Dark Rock Pro 4 which is a tower style so it's possible part of that is because less air gets pushed around the area like happened with the prior CPU fan, so I'm not sure how much of that difference is attributed to the top fan orientation change.
