Which one should I get for my slow startup PC?

Should I get a new PC with everything setup, or should I get a better graphics card? Before I state my computer issues, please be VERY specific on where to go to fix the issue I may need to fix so I know exactly what I'm needing to do. I don't want to ask a million questions, that's all.

My PC started up very very slow today. Before back in April, it started up in about 1 or 2 minutes. Which wasn't good you would say. But it was normal for me. Okay but now it just starts up within 20 to 30 minutes... which I googled on my phone had something to do with the programs in the background. And also my apps at the bottom are vanishing every 10 minutes now. (I heard they're just refreshing. But there doing it a good amount of times which do ask me about if there's something wrong with it.) And two more things, my fans make a lot of noise whenever I start up my PC, then they seem to get more quieter as they run. But every time I put it in sleep mode, the fans do it again. Don't know what to do about that. And I see everyone with a weather app at the corner I just don't seem to have at all... Feel free to ask me what to do about that as well. But the main question is which one should I get though?

Post specs and re-install before you buy anything new. 20-30 minute startup time is crazy.

Your windows sounds like it's not running well. In this case you want to backup important files to an external media or cloud service. Then install windows again via USB drive that you made with the Microsoft media creation tool.

It will format your storage device and install a fresh copy of windows. After that the weather app in the lower right taskbar should work.

After that just update windows and install drivers. You can view what you need by looking in device manager. Hardware that is not setup will have a ? or a !. These drivers you will have to install yourself.

once started up, run command prompt as admin, then do: sfc /scannow
let it run and fix anything it finds

Easiest (and cheapest) thing to do would be to make friends with a nerd and ask that person to fix your PC in exchange for free pizza.

A new graphics cards will do absolutely nothing for the issues you're describing. A new graphics card purchase would be for if you want more performance in games.

It sounds like the PC needs some care and cleaning (maybe physically with the hardware and virtually with Windows). Having the PC cleaned/dusted out, and having the Windows environment looked at may help. If any hardware upgrade would help for startup and general responsiveness, it's be a faster storage drive (SSD) and/or more RAM, but you might not even need that because there's clearly some other issues too. Startup times more than a few minutes (even this is on the longer side even for HDDs) need attention.

That appears to be a HDD and a 5,400 RPM one at that.

With an SSD and a fresh install of Windows, and possibly the dust cleaned out in the meantime, you'd be back where you should be with it. If any purchase is done at all, that'd be the one I'd do.

New GPU will absolutely help with game performance, but none with the issues you mentioned. RAM is absolutely fine. CPU is on the slower side but not the actual cause here.

Hmmm okay I see. I thought it had to do with the graphics card since I had no idea on where my specs were but I only knew of the graphics card. But I'll look into getting those sort of parts. But right now, let's see if anyone else has some more questions.
