But if you aren't dead set on AMD, an i5 11600K is $230 right now and that might be the best deal of the weekend. An 11600K will trade blows with a 5600X and is a lot cheaper.
But if you are dead set on AMD, I would buy a 5600X. After that I would start looking at a GPU upgrade.
But also, if you want to spend extra, a 12600K is going for $299 right now. Now that would be a much better buy than a 5600X. However, overall the platform cost will be more.
The closest thing to it is a Ryzen 5 3600, which slightly outperforms the i5-10400F, but pricing can be a bit terrible sometimes, and AMD's AM4 platform still has issues plaguing it with a lot of complaints from users while Intel's platform is basically unchanged and still very solid to the point of basically being plug n play with no issues except in very rare circumstances.
The i3-10100F is just behind its i5 brother, with 4 cores and 8 threads rather than 6 cores and 12 threads, but the i3 is quite a bit cheaper. The i5 has better value though because 4 cores and 8 threads aren't always enough for some games. AMD's Ryzen 3 3100 and 3300X are iffy in stock and price so they aren't really popular anymore.
In any case, you don't need to go high on the CPU because the RX 480 is entry level at this point, you're not going to notice much of a difference between a cheap CPU like the i3 and i5 I mentioned, and something like a 5600X or 12600K in most games because you're going to be GPU limited far more often than CPU limited. So IMO, you're better off saving some money and opting for more value oriented CPUs. Even the i3 would be a substantial difference over that A10 APU, because they're all frankly trash, I've owned one of them, they aren't good. Getting the 10100F or 10400F would basically be doubling your CPU performance, if not more.
The 3600x is too expensive for some reason. I think the 5600X is a better value. But I also think that the 5600X is too expensive when the 11600K is only 230.
The 5600G is a great deal. That is pretty cheap right now. It also has integrated graphics which you don't need, but it is fairly cheap. The 2600X is also fairly cheap. But again, not when the superior 11600K is cheaper.
Yea you are right. But I was just suggesting that because of the price. Honeslty, I don't know why the 5600X isn't on sale and the 3600X is the price it is. With the 12600K being $299 right now, and the 11600K being the price it is at. Not to mention the 10400. I don't know why the 5600X isn't on sale this weekend. Heck, even the 5800X, and the 5900X, have seen a drop. AMD needs to drop the price of the 5600X. If not to the price of the 11600K, at least to $250 or something like that.
Any recommended motherboards because I am getting a new one to replace my MSI motherboard.
It which CPU you want before you Can choose a CPU
or maybe a intel based motherboard.
still capable for any game, and not too spendy
just get a good board for it, and cpu cooler
