hwid bans on used parts

Hi. I want to know if I can somehow find if used pc has hwid ban.

Only way to find out if a game has banned a system is by trying to play the game.

Hardware IDs and MAC adresses can be spoofed. HW ID bans aren't that effective to get rid of the more persistent cheaters.

As far as I am aware VAC doesn't do Hardware ID bans.

Or you could just not buy used pc parts from a cheater ? Or an untrust worthy person ...

I posted it on local buying/selling pc forum so I have no idea is person trusty or not. Lol

HW bans don't affect parts, only complete system configs.

Installing Windows from scratch, preferrably by formatting the hard drive first would be a very good idea. Who knows what's on the used machine.

Stop thinking about the hardware ID, no anticheat being worth called one would ever ban IPs or HardwareIDs. VAC certainly doesn't.

RockStar looks at your SocialClub account.

Neither cares what hardware you have.

What about r6? (Rainbow 6 siege) ubo game which is using battle eye antcheat which is doing hwid bans I believe
