Help Needed to OC new Ram on x470 mobo...
Hello everyone!
i finally got my new g.skill flare X 3200 mhz cl14 ram kit (2x8gb) and i want OC like in this screenshot;

https://i.imgur.com/02mu79t.png

but upon checking my bios settings (Asus Rog X470-F Strix) i realized that i dont have all of those setting like tREF, tMOD, tMRD, tSTAG, tPHYRDL etc. also on some of them i cant just put the numbers as i want. (its just letting me choose between things like Q7/XXX??(couldnt remember the exact thing but i can check it again if needed)).

So what do you guys suggest me to do? is it important to do exact settings to match the performance on the screenshot? are there any external softwares or something to change timings? can you please help me with this?

***btw that screenshot is from this video; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HsQAtsKX3mE

***my cpu is Ryzen 3600X (custom air cooled, running with PBO)

thanks!

There should be presets made by The Stilt that work well

most ram does not like to be overclocked
go to bios and select the highest xmp profile the ram supports

the mobo will show the values it supports if it dont show you may need bios update check your manufactures page

look at its xmp profiles in cpuz spd tab
take whatever has the highest freq/cl
if they are close, take the higher freq, amd prefers speed over timings

Just use the xmp profile. Messing with timing can easily lead to crashes and in some situations, data corruption. Lower every timing by 1ns won't make enough real world impact. Most ram MIGHT allow a slightly higher dram mhz freq, but even lowered timings then it's best xmp profile already supports, usually not.

ohh i see. i ll try to start with 3600mhz then.

btw i used memtest64 for my current settings and it found 1 error in an hour. does it means its unstable?

Use the bootable memtest86, not one that runs inside an OS
