XFX SWFT 6800 XT vs MERC 6800 XT

Is there any difference between the two? Minus the RGB/Asthetics....is there any massive differences?

Only difference that matters is the psu, they both require a 750w but the recommended psu for the swft is 850w, recommended for the merc is 750w. Otherwise they are the same gpu.

specs should be the same, unless one has a factory oc or better cooling

I'm running a 850 watt PSU. Current specs are on my profile page... Mainly asked the question since I got the card thinking it was the MERC variant, but the site was wrong...just making sure that the boost speeds/VRMs, GPU binning is the same as the MERC variant.

Not much info is out there for the SWFT card that i can personally find, so just wanted to make sure. Can't really go back on this now since the card has already been shipped...

the 6800xt 'merc 319' variant doesnt have 319 of anything
it has 4608 shaders (cores), 288 tmu, 128 rop

only thing is see different is better cooling, which could help it hold higher boost speeds for longer before throttling

I got the card...and its performs amazing...over double the performance compared to my 5700 XT which was pushed to the max for the past year or so.

The new card is barely breaking 60c, and is boosting to above 2300MHz - 2400MHz out of the box which to me is amazing
