Asus X570 Complete Trash
1. The power button and RAM light's stay on when the PC is shutdown causing me to always switch it off from the PSU when finished with the PC.
2. The fan control seems to be busted ever since I had to reset the motherboard CMOS because of a BIOS issue. I have to manually go to ARMORY CRATE and turn on silent profile everytime I boot up.

What's a good alternative motherboard? I have a ryzen 5 3600.

You already have one of the best x570 boards, post system specs via cpuz and some idea of the issues you have and maybe someone can help.

For testing purposes, maybe consider uninstalling Armoury Crate, resetting BIOS to defaults and evaluating. In general, Armoury Crate does cause various problems for a lot of ASUS board users.

What was the BIOS issue you mentioned?

Most MotherBoards have a BIOS option for "POST LEDS"
You can disable this so that after your PC does the initial POST + Boot, the LEDS go off and stay off.

Since you have a Ryzen 3600, I would also ensure to update your BIOS but not to a BIOS version that is after they added support/fixes for Ryzen 5xxx series. As this might lower performance of the old CPUs such as yours. After a BIOS update, go into the BIOS, select Optimized Defaults, Apply via Save & Exit. Then re-enter the BIOS and enable the proper DOCP/XMP profile for DRAM so your RAM runs as it was designed to per its specs. Save & Exit to Apply. Done deal, shouldn't have to change much if anything else. Just ensure the Target OS Drive is the only boot device. Should you need to ever boot from another Drive, such as USB, there is a F# Key to press in order to get access to the One Time Boot Options Menu; from there you select USB; such as for installing an OS via USB Flash Drive.

My BIOS issue was after switching to a 360hz monitor bios wouldn’t show when booting. This turned out to be a display port 1.4 issue which nvidia made drivers for and this fixed the issue and i could get into bios however now the fan curve doesn’t seem to obey me anymore and i have to manually set it to silent in armour crate or it doesn’t work and the fans are too loud. I’m getting sick of this motherboard

I don’t mean the RAM trouble shoot light i mean the actual ram rgb lights don’t turn off even when the PC is shut down, also thank you for taking the time to type this.

Why is the lights staying on when it's shutdown a problem?

There should be a setting in the ARMORY CRATE program to apply settings/the profile upon windows startup. Alternatively, there's options in the bios to manually change and set the fan curve.

Sounds like this is all on you and user error/ignorance instead of the motherboard being bad. I personally have the ROG Strix x570-i gaming (wifi) and I have no issues with the lights being off when shut off (they're easily disabled through the bios) and I don't have any issues with fan curves not sticking (I do it through the MB bios).

Is the power button wired backwards? There shouldn't be any power getting to the mobo except for the cmos battery.
Power buttons on PC cases are toggle switches. They're also composed only as ground, and power. Power does not come from the power switch, it comes from the power supply, into the motherboard, and all the switch does is short the ground to power to "jump start" it
So it's impossible for it to be "wired backwards"

Pretty sure dude is talking about the motherboard-mounted power button not the case button. Should be able to turn it off in BIOS unless it's a non-ROG then possibly not.

X570 (non-s) and especially ones from ASUS I do not care for at all. B550 boards are better then my X570 Impact by a good amount while costing way less. B550 Aorus Master or MSI Unify would be my suggestion, Unify-X is daily driver.

My asus x570 doesn't have a power button built into the motherboard. Regardless, it does the same thing even if there is one.

Low-end models usually don't have that power/reset on the board or a POST code readout yes.

Non-highend boards don't have those features. Better? 😛

Remove Armory Crate, it's garbage .. But it almost acts like a virus, removing it 100% isn't easy..
But really suspect your fan issue isn't caused by the BIOS, but by that bloatware Armory Crate.

Tried it once, when I built my PC. Saw that it ate 5% of CPU time, on a 10900K - so re-installed Win10 because it was impossible to remove completely - will never install that crap again.
