Can someone please tell me exactly what kind of USB cable do i need to connect to PC and play with the Xbox One Controller?
There's too many, some only charge.

as long as it allows data transfer. a lot of cheap cords dont have data transfer. best to double check to see if they do. also, sometimes even really expensive $40+ cords don't even do data transfer. always double check

depends on the controller

older ones for xbox one are micro-usb, newer ones with the share button (xbox series, also work with xbox one) are usb-c

make sure its a data cable with usb symbol, not charge only with lightning bolt symbol

iv been buying usb cables from a dollar store that work just fine for phones and controllers

Data Sync cable; not Charge Only.

I don't even see Charge Only cables anymore except maybe the very cheap ones (which are way over-priced) at places like 7-Eleven and similar stores.

Go on Amazon, Ebay, even Walmart is fine... search the cable type you need.

Or if you have newer Xbox controller that uses the Type-C cable; then...
