There is no "One Drive Documents" folder.
One Drive backups up whats it is set to backup...
Games might save stuff in your "Documents" folder, which then gets backed up to One Drive, sure...
Best bet is, dont have One Drive set to backup any of those.
Instead you make a folder on C drive and put actual backup files inside there, then tell One Drive to backup only that folder contents.
Edit: Nvm I did it.
Its also one reason why I wont use a Live Account Login.
Instead resort to using Local Account Logins only.
That's not entirely true, maybe it was different in 2017, but in Windows 11 there are 2 different paths.
C:\Users\<user>\OneDrive\Documents
&
C:\Users\<user>\Documents
onedrive is trash
it can overwrite your gamesaves, and cloud save everything
disable and uninstall it on every os install
So if you had a 1tb ssd, after formatting it, there will be nothing on the drive. Then go in there, right click and create your own folders
You definitely don't need parts of windows on every drive, which is where OneDrive tries to rear its ugly head
Your data is more secure this way. Not by much, but somewhat.
if you turn it off and unplug it before it 'uploads your saves'
(unplug after using power off from its menu and its light is off)
xbox never fully turns off, it goes to sleep and will sync without telling you at all, and no way to disable it
on reboot, it will download the cloud saves and overwrite what it had before you can tell it not to
you may get a very short warning, but it syncs before you can log in
Not sure how that's relevant but yes even Microsoft has expressed that OneDrive could interfere with Gaming in general.
Overall just install Windows properly and uninstall Edge and OneDrive after installing your other web browser of choice and doing the Windows Updates.
better off using another cloud method or your own backup instead of letting onedrive grab and try to sync everything
