Even if you wanted to it's no longer compatible with the latest version, so unless you want to run legacy firefox, the decision is already made for you. The devs of the addon may update but who knows.
adguard stops ads
no script stops javascript

2 different threats

Or just get uBlock Origin, stops basically anything of the sort.

New Noscript is supposed to be released in few days. In the meantime I installed uMatrix, it looks cute too even allows finer grained control but I could not find proper config.

On my other machines I disabled FF autoupdate in about:config till this resolves.

While we are at it, anyone found replacement for ColorfulTabs? (it paints tabs in colors based on url)

Also if you like Firefox, try the newer Firefox Quantum

What was a super ass move coupled with warningless auto-update and no possible downgrade :(

Guess they are tired of having so many users and want them to jump to other browsers now.

How hard it would be to pop a warning 'hey, with this upgrade you will say goodbye to half the plugins you have installed, are you sure? There is no way back!"

Running outdated versions of things is a security risk. Unless you are on Linux or Beta testing there really is no need to do that.
How odd that my Adguard updated along with my Firefox and works just the same as it ever did.
