Haven't played that game in some time and don't have it installed to check. Most PC games allow you to change the control bindings. If batman allows that just assign the mouse 3/mousewheel button to something else. T, Y or whatever else.
Alternative is to figure out what error is stopping you mousewheel/mouse3 button from working and fix it.
A good mouse doesn't cost all that much really
On bases of that I can order my mouse.
you can get wireless usb 6 button mouse for around $10
Any PC mouse would work. Just look mice on a computer retailers website or search for mouse on ebay/amazon.
Razer with no onboard profiles can glitch.so once you have your profiles set up you
can disable the software.not having a gaming mouse is like entering the Indianapolis
500 in a sedan.
Most games allow you to remap the control however you want. I know batman Arkham City does, I just played it last year and remap all sorts of functions to my extra mouse buttons and move things around to be more convenient.
Long term through if your mouse is broken or defective you're going to want to replace it. And there's always the odd game that has limited remapping features.
This is why I stick with Logitech; I can select Local Profile Mode; which means the settings are stored on that PC only. Or I can select ROM Profile Mode which stores settings changes on the Mouse itself, so that I can use those settings on any PC I wish without the need for the Logitech software.
They can do that all on their own within a few brief moments of their own time of looking around.
I stand by Logitech above those other brands for the most part because their software has always been top-notch. Razer and SteelSeries have some of the poorest software in the industry when it comes to things like Keyboards and Mice.
Logitech software, the most recent version, Ghub, is a pile of ♥♥♥♥ -- I've used it myself, can't say anything special, since I've only used it with the G203, and only to change RGB settings (solid colour.) But I often hear my friends complaining to no end about issues with Ghub, and I read some forums, specifically dedicated to keyboards and mice, which they concur that Ghub is ♥♥♥♥.
LGS (Logitech Gaming Software), the old one, was so much nicer, and actually was nice to use, and I experienced no issues, and heard nothing bad about, it actually worked.
Razer used to be bad software wise, but these days, it's perfectly fine, I experience no issues with the software, I don't read people complaining about it, or have anyone talk bad about it. It does work, the UI is clean, and it does it's job.
Though, there is an issue (though Logitech has this issue too), where older devices aren't compatible with the latest Synapse version, so you have to have 2 versions installed.
Logitech has more of an issue, their Logitech Gaming Software program isn't available anymore (on their website.) So tough luck if you need it to change settings on an older Logitech device.
Steelseries software is basic, but I didn't experience anything with to much issue. To be fair, I did only change DPI, for the short time I used the Rival 110, nothing funky, no issues.
I wouldn't say it's good though, because of the poor UI.
Never have any of those stupid apps in my OS Startup.
Yup,. LGS was so much better but like Valve Logitech ignored majority of complaints about it during it's testing and even after it went live. My keyboard failed and the replacement keyboard I got doesn't support LGS only GHUB. As GHUB and LGS can't both work I've had to use GHUB for my mouse as well. Have 2 out of 3 profiles stored on both keyboard and mouse. Profile 1 is for desktop stuff and 2 for gaming. GHUB is not set to startup when I boot system. If I need to edit Profile 3 or change stuff I'll load it then and only then.
Just need to make sure I put mouse on charge at night so it's full charged the following day and charge the keyboard once a week.
I moved away from all of that by going with Corsair KB.
As my Logi LightSpeed Mouse uses GHub.
Its as if Logi wanted GHub for Win10 users. But it's fairly dumb to me that GHub doesn't support Logi KB & Mouse that replied on the older LGS. It's like their way of forcing people to buy newer products to an extent.
